Alpha® Trim Master — Dry Cutting Diamond Blade for Miter Saws

The Alpha® Trim Master is a specialty dry-cutting diamond blade engineered for sliding miter saws — the go-to blade for countertop fabricators cutting backsplashes, end caps, baseboards and molding from granite and engineered stone. An 8 mm tall diamond layer delivers long life, and the blade's consistent feed and finish make it the preferred dry blade for back-splash work. Two sizes are available: the TM10A+ (10", 2.2 mm kerf, 5,900 max RPM, 5/8" arbor) for typical miter saws, and the TM12A+ (12", 2.5 mm kerf, 6,200 max RPM, 1" with 5/8" reducer) for larger sliding miter saws.

Features

  • 8 mm tall diamond layer — built for long service life
  • Engineered for dry cutting on sliding miter saws — best-in-class for back-splashes
  • Perfect for granite and engineered stone fabrication
  • Consistent performance, easy operation, clean finish
  • Can also be used as a wet-cutting blade when water is available
  • Available in 10" (TM10A+) and 12" (TM12A+) configurations
  • Standard miter-saw arbors (5/8" for 10"; 1" with 5/8" reducer for 12")
Part No. Size Thickness Max RPM Arbor UPC
TM10A+ 10" 2.2mm 5,900 5/8" 749173461408
TM12A+ 12" 2.5mm 6,200 1", 5/8" 749173461545
  1. Mount the Trim Master on a sliding miter saw rated for the blade's max RPM (5,900 for TM10A+; 6,200 for TM12A+).
  2. Confirm the rotation direction — the arrow is printed on the front and embossed on the back; diamond bond tails should trail the rotation.
  3. Lock the workpiece securely and align the cut.
  4. Use the sliding method — lower the blade, then slide through the workpiece for the cleanest cut.
  5. Run dry for typical back-splash and trim work; water may be added for extra heat control on long cuts.
  6. Recommended saws: Bosch 4410L, Bosch 3915, Milwaukee 6497-6, Metabo KGS303 or equivalent sliding miter saw.
  7. If cutting speed slows, the diamonds may be glazing — re-dress the blade with a dressing stone or concrete block.
  8. Cut granite and engineered stone primarily; marble can be cut but with higher chipping risk — reduce feed pressure.
  9. Inspect the blade between cuts and confirm it is true and undamaged.

Which direction does the blade go?

The blade rotation direction is printed on the front of the blade and embossed on the back. The bond tails behind the diamonds should point opposite the rotation direction.

Which saws are recommended?

Higher-RPM sliding miter saws — for example Bosch 4410L, Bosch 3915, Milwaukee 6497-6, Metabo KGS303 or equivalent.

What can I cut with the Trim Master?

Primarily granite and engineered stone. Marble can be cut but with a higher risk of chipping — reduce feed pressure and use the sliding method.

Can I use it as a wet blade?

Yes. The Alpha® Trim Master is a dry blade by design, but it can be used with water for heat control on demanding cuts.

What is the recommended cutting method?

The sliding method — lower the blade, then slide through the work — produces the cleanest cuts on a sliding miter saw.

What if the blade slows down or stops cutting cleanly?

The diamonds are likely glazing. Re-dress the blade using a soft abrasive — an Alpha dressing stone or a piece of concrete block works well.

What are the maximum RPMs and arbor sizes?

TM10A+ is 10" with a 2.2 mm kerf, 5,900 max RPM and 5/8" arbor. TM12A+ is 12" with a 2.5 mm kerf, 6,200 max RPM and 1" arbor (5/8" reducer included).
