Alpha® ESC-150/ESC-250 Miter Cutting Kit
The Alpha® ESC Miter Cutting Kit is one complete system for straight, curve and miter cuts on stone, engineered quartz, sintered slabs and porcelain. A one-time setup on the Alpha® Guide Rail allows for two different miter cut positions for lamination prep — ideal for laminated waterfall edges, book matching, pool copings, step treads, risers, and wall & pillar caps. Powered by the ESC-150 (110V) or ESC-250 (220V) Electric Wet/Dry Stone Cutter, the kit cuts 1-1/4" (3 cm) slabs in a single pass and miter cuts 3/4" (2 cm) material with ease.

- Lay the slab on a stable, supported surface — Alpha® recommends a Styrofoam sheet larger than the material to support the entire slab during the cut.
- Apply Surface Protection Tape along the cut line to reduce chipping on polished or porcelain surfaces.
- Clamp the appropriate Alpha® Guide Rail (4', 7' or 12') to the slab; verify it is fully seated and parallel to the cut line.
- Mount the ASC-6CSM Carriage Assembly onto the rail and lock the ESC-150 (or ESC-250) Wet/Dry Stone Cutter into the carriage using one of the three included install templates.
- Connect the water feed to the cutter and confirm steady flow at the blade before powering on.
- For straight cuts, set blade depth and push the carriage steadily along the rail; for miter cuts, dial in one of the two preset miter positions before starting the cut.
- After cutting, rinse the carriage rollers, rail track and blade; wipe dry to extend bearing and rail service life.

Can I use my existing ASC-5CSM Universal Carriage with this kit?
No. The ASC-5CSM is designed for the 5" ESC-125 Stone Cutter. The ESC-150/ESC-250 use the ASC-6CSM 6" Carriage Assembly, which is included in this kit.
What kind of cutting table does Alpha® recommend for the Miter Cutting Kit?
It depends on your shop. The key point is to stabilize the material during the cut. Alpha® recommends placing a Styrofoam sheet larger than the slab on a flat, level table to support the entire piece.
How is the Alpha® Miter Cutting Kit different from the Omega Diamond Miter Master System?
The Alpha® kit handles miter cuts, plunge cuts and straight cuts with the carriage. Since the ESC-150 can be removed from the carriage, it can also be used free-hand for curve cutting and other applications.
Will the included Eclipse II blade cut sintered slabs and large-format porcelain panels?
The Eclipse II blade is recommended for quartzite, granite and engineered stone/quartz surfaces. For large-format porcelain panels, Alpha® recommends the Libero blade (or the Katana blade as an alternative).
Does Alpha® offer a pneumatic version of the Miter Cutting Kit?
Yes. Alpha® offers a pneumatic Miter Cutting Kit built around the PSC-150 Pneumatic Stone Cutter instead of the ESC-150 electric model.
