The New Alpha® BMP Pool Coping Kit comes with all the components necessary for the coping application for 5cm (2”) thickness. Alpha® also offers a 6cm (2-3/8”) Profiler V as an optional profile wheel. The Profiler will create a uniform bullnose edge with ease using the BMP-700 variable speed rotary polisher when used with wet sanding/polishing kit (WSPKIT). Most of the popular paving materials have a honed surface so that #80 Sandpaper will create a matching finish on the profiled edge. The Kit also comes with all accessories such as a waterproof apron and GFCI for a safe and comfortable operation. The Alpha® BMP Pool Coping Kit offers the opportunity for the hardscape contractors to make more money and allows them to be free from the hassle of subcontracting the coping application to stone fabricators. This Kit is simple and provides a turnkey solution.

Can I use Alpha® Pool Coping Kit on hard stone such as granite pavers?
Answer :
Yes you can. Due to the hardness of granite pavers, #80 sandpaper may not be the most suitable sanding media. Alpha® also offers various Ceramica flexible diamond polishing discs to expedite the process.

You can use entire speed range of VDP-700 for both profiling and sanding application.

Can I use Alpha® Pool Coping Kit as a dry application?
Answer :
No. If you use Alpha Profiler dry, it will build up heat and would destroy the nylon guide. Also, since we currently do not offer a dust shroud to collect dust, it will not be compliant with OSHA silica rules. Question :
Travertine surface has been filled with resin but the when I created the bullnose profile on the edge, pores open up on entire edge. What can I do after profiling application?
Answer :
Travertine Filler is widely available from your hardscape suppliers that must be applied to desired profiled edge prior to sanding process. After filler dry completely, you can continue sanding with #80 sandpaper to complete coping process.
