Alpha® Tuck Point Wheel — 4"
The Alpha® Tuck Point Wheel is purpose-built for brick re-pointing and flash installation, removing deteriorating mortar from masonry joints quickly and cleanly. The segmented diamond rim uses a hard bond engineered to resist the highly abrasive mortar found in brick laying, delivering aggressive cutting with extended blade life. The 4" diameter with 7/8" / 20mm / 5/8" multi-arbor fits 4", 4-1/2" and 7" angle grinders, and is also compatible with the Alpha® AWS-125 wet stone cutter.

- Mount the wheel on a 4", 4-1/2" or 7" angle grinder using the appropriate arbor adapter (7/8", 20mm or 5/8").
- For dust suppression, attach an Alpha® Ecoguard™ W5 dust shroud connected to a HEPA vacuum.
- Hold the grinder square to the joint and plunge gently — let the diamonds do the cutting.
- Track the joint at a steady feed rate; avoid twisting or side-loading the wheel.
- Wet cutting is recommended whenever practical — it extends segment life and keeps silica out of the air.
- Do not exceed the 14,500 RPM max rated speed. Inspect frequently and replace when segments wear flush.

Can this dry blade be used wet?
Yes. Wet cutting generally increases blade life and helps keep harmful silica dust out of the air.
Is this blade compatible with the Alpha AWS-125 wet stone cutter?
Yes — the 4" wheel has a 7/8"-to-5/8" arbor compatibility that fits the AWS-125.
What is the segment thickness?
1/4".
Can I cut granite reinforcement channels with this blade?
Not recommended. The bond is optimized for soft, abrasive materials like mortar. For granite, use the Alpha Hot-Rod blade.
