Alpha® Aluminum Adapter for Diamond Blades (AAH Series)
The Alpha® AAH Aluminum Adapter lets you mount a dry diamond blade with a 7/8" or 20mm arbor onto any angle grinder with a 5/8"-11 spindle. Machined from lightweight, durable aluminum, the AAH ships ready to use and includes everything required to step a standard blade arbor up to the most common North American grinder thread.

- Confirm your grinder spindle is 5/8"-11 (the standard for North American 4" / 4-1/2" / 5" angle grinders).
- Pick AAH-7/8 if your blade has a 7/8" arbor, or AAH-20 if it has a 20mm arbor.
- Remove the existing flange / lock nut from the grinder spindle.
- Thread the AAH body onto the 5/8"-11 spindle and seat it fully.
- Slide the diamond blade onto the AAH boss and reinstall the outer flange / lock nut per the grinder manufacturer's instructions.
- Verify the blade runs true with no wobble before powering up. Use for DRY cutting only.

What does the AAH adapter do?
It adapts a 7/8" or 20mm diamond-blade arbor so the blade can be mounted on any standard 5/8"-11 angle grinder spindle.
What is the difference between AAH-7/8 and AAH-20?
The arbor (center bore) the adapter mates with: AAH-7/8 fits blades with a 7/8" arbor, AAH-20 fits blades with a 20mm arbor. Both have the same 5/8"-11 grinder thread.
Aluminum (AAH) or brass (BAH) — which should I use?
AAH is lighter and more economical; BAH is denser and more durable under repeated heavy use. For most stone-shop and contractor work the aluminum AAH is the standard choice.
