MB-24 Plus Barrier is a water-based impregnating sealer that protects porous natural stone and masonry against water, oil and everyday staining. It penetrates below the surface rather than forming a coating, so it leaves the color, texture and finish of the material unchanged while still allowing moisture vapor to escape. Approved surfaces include granite, marble, limestone, travertine, terrazzo, concrete, slate, terra cotta, Saltillo tile and grout, and once cured the sealer is safe for food preparation surfaces. One quart covers roughly 150 to 250 square feet and properly applied protection lasts about 3 to 5 years.

Porous natural stone and masonry, including granite, marble, limestone, travertine, terrazzo, slate, concrete, terra cotta, Saltillo tile and grout.
No. It is a penetrating sealer that preserves the natural look of the material. It does not create a surface coating or add gloss.
Yes. It can be used on natural stone countertops that may contact food, but it must cure completely first - the manufacturer specifies 48 to 72 hours before the surface returns to food preparation use.
Most installations get about 3 to 5 years, depending on stone porosity, traffic, maintenance and exposure. A periodic water absorption test shows when resealing is due.
If the sealer absorbs in under 10 minutes, apply more. Highly porous materials often need multiple coats to reach full protection.
Dried residue looks streaky or cloudy. Apply a small amount of fresh sealer to the affected area and immediately buff it off with a clean cloth.
Yes, on many exterior stone and masonry surfaces, provided the material is clean, dry and suitable for penetrating sealers.
No sealer is absolutely stain proof. MB-24 delays absorption and makes cleanup easier, giving you more time to remove a spill before it stains.
