Alpha® is excited to introduce a new electric stone cutter, called the ESC-150, which is equipped with a powerful motor capable cutting 1-1/4” (3cm) stone slabs in one pass. In addition, Alpha® recognized the need for a quality electric portable stone cutter that is capable of miter cutting of 1-1/4” (3cm) materials with ease, so that any stone fabricator can use it when miter cuts are required, without the time-consuming setup. Also, it is great for sink-hole cutting and groove-cutting for rodding applications. The ESC-150 includes a kink-free water hose for improved maneuverability of the stone cutter. The flexibility of the hose helps reduce operator fatigue and improves the operation. The Alpha® ESC-150 comes with a built-in dust gate making it dustless when connected to a HEPA vacuum. It can utilize a variety of consumables including the Alpha® Katana 6” for porcelain panels and slabs, Hot-Rod 4” for 1/4” steel rods and 1/8” fiber glass rods. For marble applications, a Libero 5” blade is recommended since most marble slabs are 3/4” (2cm) thick or less. Alpha® offers a carriage assembly that fits on the Alpha® Guide Rail System to support the application of making precise miter cuts for the perfect lamination.

Can I use the ASC-5CSM Carriage Assembly on the ESC-150?
Answer :
No, you cannot use the ASC-5CSM Universal Carriage System due to the fact it is designed for ESC-125 which is a 5” stone cutter. The ESC-150 requires a larger carriage which is the ASC-6CSM.

Why does the ESC-150 come with two locations for the anti-vibration side handle?

Alpha® provided two positional locations for the side handle for user comfort and stability during the cutting applications.

When I use as a dry cutting application, dust breaches from the bottom of the stone. How can I prevent dust issue?
Answer :
When a diamond blade cuts through the stone, dust will be kicked out from the bottom of the slab before it comes up to the surface of slab. You can put a substrate such as another stone slab or Styrofoam sheet to encapsulate the edge of diamond blade so that dust would be kicked up toward the point of a dust suction.

Without TT Ruler Guide, how can I cut straight line?
Answer :
You have two options if you would like to take an advantage of guide to cut straight line. One is to use the Alpha® Guide Rail and Carriage System. Another is using Alpha® Spike Ruler if the cut is less than 3ft.
