The Alpha® 31 mm Hex Wrench (Part No. 520000) is the OEM service tool for changing the spindle nut on Alpha® Twincur® GEM and GEM-V edge-polishing wheel adapters (EGV5SNL / EGV6SNL). The 31 mm hex matches the factory nut so the adapter can be removed and reinstalled without rounding flats or scoring the housing.

- Disconnect power and water from the edge-polishing machine before any service work.
- Engage the 31 mm hex over the spindle nut on the GEM / GEM-V adapter.
- Hold the spindle stationary using the machine spindle lock (or factory backup wrench).
- Turn the wrench to loosen or tighten the nut — do not use cheaters or pneumatic impact.
- Wipe the threads and the wrench clean of slurry after each use; store dry to prevent rust.
