Alpha® Hex Wrench 31 mm for Twincur GEM & GEM-V

The Alpha® 31 mm Hex Wrench (Part No. 520000) is the OEM service tool for changing the spindle nut on Alpha® Twincur® GEM and GEM-V edge-polishing wheel adapters (EGV5SNL / EGV6SNL). The 31 mm hex matches the factory nut so the adapter can be removed and reinstalled without rounding flats or scoring the housing.

  1. Disconnect power and water from the edge-polishing machine before any service work.
  2. Engage the 31 mm hex over the spindle nut on the GEM / GEM-V adapter.
  3. Hold the spindle stationary using the machine spindle lock (or factory backup wrench).
  4. Turn the wrench to loosen or tighten the nut — do not use cheaters or pneumatic impact.
  5. Wipe the threads and the wrench clean of slurry after each use; store dry to prevent rust.
