Akemi Polyester Colorant — Coloring Paste (8/Box)
AKEMI® coloring pastes let stone fabricators tint AKEMI polyester and epoxy adhesives to match the stone being bonded, so glue lines and seams disappear into the surrounding material. The pigments are highly UV- and light-resistant for lasting, fade-free color. Supplied as a convenient assorted set of 8 base colors that can be blended to match a wide range of stone, quartz, and ceramic. AKEMI also publishes an extensive color-match system with dozens of shades keyed to leading engineered-stone brands.

Compatibility: for coloring AKEMI polyester and epoxy (AKEPOX®) adhesives only — add no more than 5% to the mixed adhesive.
Individual match colors keyed to leading engineered-stone brands are available separately through AKEMI’s color chart.
- Choose or blend the color(s) that best match the stone.
- Add the coloring paste to the mixed adhesive — a maximum of 5%.
- Mix thoroughly until the color is uniform, then bond as directed by the adhesive’s instructions.
- Test on a sample to confirm the match before final application.
- Do not exceed 5% addition — excess pigment can affect the adhesive’s cure and properties.
- Follow the safety instructions of the adhesive being colored.
- Use with adequate ventilation and wear gloves and eye protection. Consult the AKEMI Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
