Ecoguard™ W6 Dust Collection Cover — 4-1/2", 5" & 6" Angle Grinders
The Ecoguard™ W6 is a wide-kerf dust collection cover for 4-1/2", 5" and 6" high-speed angle grinders, supporting blades up to 6" with a maximum cut depth of 1-3/4". It is purpose-built for tuckpointing, crack chasing and channel cutting on concrete, brick and masonry. The rugged polycarbonate housing has a clear viewing area, a stabilizing support base for straight precise cuts, easy wing-nut depth adjustment and tool-free blade changes. Paired with a HEPA wet/dry vacuum the W6 captures more than 90% of airborne dust to help meet OSHA silica-control requirements. For larger 7" and 9" grinders, see the Ecoguard W9.

- Confirm your grinder is a 4-1/2", 5" or 6" angle grinder; consult the Ecoguard Grinder Compatibility Chart.
- Install the W6 cover on your grinder per the included manual; verify the blade clears the support base.
- Connect the 18" connector hose (P/N 500026) from the cover dust port to a HEPA wet/dry vacuum — use the HEP110021 Air/Exhaust Hose Adapter if needed.
- Adjust the cutting depth with the wing nut to your target depth (max 1-3/4").
- Start the vacuum first, then the grinder; lower into the cut with the support base flat on the work and travel in a straight line at a steady feed rate.
- Empty the vacuum at the end of every shift and inspect the connector hose for cracks or worn cuffs.
