Alpha® Nichigo G-Tape™ 3035BK Seaming Tape
Nichigo G-Tape™ 3035BK is a linerless, self-adhering flashing tape engineered for exterior wall fenestration: seaming and splicing insulation sheets, house wraps and wall boards; sealing window and door frames; and waterproofing outdoor deck rafters. It tears straight by hand, weighs 50–70% less than conventional window flashing tape, and stands up to long-term UV and weather thanks to its black substrate. 3035BK meets AAMA 711-13 Type A (without primer), Level 3 and AC 148, and ships in 2", 3" and 4" widths on 65' rolls.

- Verify substrate is clean, dry and free of dust, oil or loose debris.
- Choose width to match the joint: 2" for tight seams, 3"–4" for window flanges and house-wrap splices.
- Cut or hand-tear the length needed and position one edge along the joint.
- Press the tape down firmly along the full length, working out any air pockets.
- Roll the surface with a J-roller to fully wet the adhesive into the substrate.
- Lap subsequent courses shingle-style so water drains away from the joint.
- For deck rafter waterproofing, run the tape continuously over the top of the rafter and down each side.
- Once placed, the tape is permanent — plan layout before sticking.
