Alpha® Crossville Laminam® Blade
The Alpha® Crossville Laminam® Blade is engineered for high-speed cutting of Laminam® and other porcelain thin panels. Its smooth continuous diamond rim and glass-grade bond hardness deliver chip-free, straight, true cuts — making it the go-to blade for porcelain contractors who need a portable, long-lasting cutting solution for plunge cuts, edge trims, and internal-radius work.
Features
- Specially designed for Laminam® by Crossville®
- Chip-free cutting on thin porcelain tile and panels
- Smooth continuous diamond rim with bond hardness optimized for glass-grade materials
- High-quality straight and true cuts with minimal edge chipping
- Excellent for plunge cutting, edge trimming, and internal-radius cuts
- Wet or dry use (dry on high-speed grinders only; low-speed polishers require water)
| Part No. | Diameter | Arbor | Max RPM | UPC |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LM0438 | 4-3/8" (111 mm) | 7/8" with 20 mm adapter | 13,200 | 749173461781 |
- Mount on a high-speed angle grinder or stone cutter using the 7/8" arbor (20mm adapter included).
- For dry cutting Laminam® by Crossville®, use a high-speed grinder — do not run dry on a low-speed polisher.
- On low-speed equipment, supply water for wet cutting.
- For plunge cuts, edge trims, or internal radius work, score the line in light passes.
- For electrical box cut-outs or internal corners: drill holes at each corner with an electroplated drill bit, then connect the holes with straight cuts.
- For sink cut-outs, score the curved line in multiple shallow passes — Laminam® panels are thin enough to score through.
- For other porcelain panels or glass tiles, use the wet cutting method only.

Can I dry cut Laminam® by Crossville® with this blade on a low-speed polisher?
No. The blade cannot be used dry on a low-speed polisher. You can use it on a low-speed polisher only with water.
Can I dry cut other Crossville® porcelain tile with this blade?
No. The blade is designed exclusively for dry cutting Laminam®. Alpha® does not recommend it for other applications.
Can I use this blade to cut other materials?
Yes. Alpha® recommends the wet cutting method for other porcelain panels or glass tile.
Does Alpha® offer this blade in other sizes?
No. Only one size is offered: 4-3/8" with a 7/8" arbor and 20 mm adapter for small angle grinders and stone cutters.
Does Alpha® offer other tools for Crossville® Laminam®?
Yes — recommended companions include the EZ Thin Tile Cutters, EZ Glass Running Plier, Spike Ruler, Diamond Hand Pads, Electroplated Drill Bits, Ecoguard dust shrouds, and a HEPA Vacuum.
Should we offer this blade to tile dealers that do not carry Laminam®?
If the dealer requests it specifically, yes. If the dealer carries other thin porcelain tile or panels, the Alpha® Katana blade is the recommended alternative.
How do I make an electrical box cut-out or an internal corner cut?
Drill a hole at each corner using an electroplated drill bit, then connect the holes with straight cuts. See the Crossville® Laminam® technical videos for reference.
Can I dry cut a sink hole with this blade?
Yes. Because Laminam® panels are very thin, you can score the curved line in shallow passes to make a sink cut-out.
