Alpha® WDS138 Drill Bit Guide & Water Delivery System
The Alpha® WDS138 is a companion tool for electroplated diamond drill bits when installing bathroom and kitchen fixtures into tile and stone. A suction cup secures the guide flat against the work surface and creates a small reservoir that delivers cooling water directly to the cutting edge, while the guide collar prevents the bit from wandering at the start of the hole. The WDS138 accepts electroplated bits up to 1-3/8" diameter, making it ideal for 1/4" anchor holes for towel bars, soap dishes, shelves, cabinets and shower door frames.
Features
- Prevents wandering drill bits on hard, glossy surfaces

- Clean and dry the tile or stone surface where the hole will be drilled.
- Wet the suction cup base and press the WDS138 firmly onto the surface to create the vacuum seal.
- Verify the guide does not move — if it slips, clean the surface again and re-seat.
- Fill the reservoir with clean water.
- Insert your electroplated diamond bit (3/16" to 1-3/8") through the guide collar.
- Start the drill at low speed at a slight tilt to bite the surface, then bring the bit upright once a kerf is established.
- Maintain steady, light pressure and let the diamonds do the cutting. Refill the reservoir as needed to keep the bit cooled.
- When finished, peel one edge of the suction cup to release the vacuum — do not pry it off.

What size bits does the WDS138 accept?
Electroplated diamond drill bits from 3/16" up to 1-3/8" in diameter.
What surfaces does the suction cup work on?
Smooth, non-porous surfaces such as polished tile, polished stone, glass and engineered stone. The surface must be clean and dry.
Does it work on textured or honed stone?
The suction-cup grip is weaker on textured or honed surfaces. For those applications use a guide template and clamps instead.
Can I use it with regular masonry bits?
No. The WDS138 is designed for electroplated diamond bits used on tile and stone, not for masonry/percussion bits.
What kind of drill should I use?
A low-RPM corded or cordless drill running at 600-1,200 RPM gives the best electroplated-bit life. Do not use a hammer drill.
How do I remove the WDS138 after drilling?
Peel up one edge of the suction cup to release the vacuum. Never pry on the rigid frame.
