Alpha® PSC-150 Miter Cutting Kit

The Alpha® PSC-150 Miter Cutting Kit is one complete pneumatic system for straight, curve and miter cuts on granite, engineered quartz, marble, limestone, concrete and sintered/porcelain slabs. A one-time setup on the Alpha® Guide Rail unlocks two preset miter cut positions for laminated waterfall edges, book matching, pool copings, step treads, risers, and wall & pillar caps. Powered by two PSC-150 (2 HP) Pneumatic Stone Cutters, the kit cuts 1-1/4" (3 cm) slabs in a single pass and miter cuts 3/4" (2 cm) material with ease.

  1. Lay the slab on a stable, supported surface — Alpha® recommends a Styrofoam sheet larger than the material so the entire slab is supported through the cut.
  2. Apply the included BAB0650 Surface Protection Tape along the cut line to reduce chipping on polished or porcelain surfaces.
  3. Clamp the appropriate Alpha® Guide Rail (4', 7' or 12') to the slab; verify it is fully seated and parallel to the cut line.
  4. Mount the ASC-6CSM Carriage Assembly on the rail and lock the PSC-150 Pneumatic Stone Cutter into the carriage using one of the three included install templates.
  5. Connect the water feed and air supply (90 PSI / 6.2 Bar, up to 32-48 CFM per cutter) and confirm steady flow at the manifold before powering on.
  6. For straight cuts, set blade depth and push the carriage steadily along the rail; for miter cuts, dial in one of the two preset miter positions before starting the cut.
  7. After cutting, flush the manifold, rinse the carriage rollers and rail track, and wipe dry to extend bearing and rail service life.

What kind of compressor does the PSC-150 Miter Cutting Kit need?

Each PSC-150 cutter can draw up to 32-48 CFM under full load, and the kit ships with two cutters. Plan on an industrial rotary screw compressor (minimum 7.5 HP, larger if both cutters run simultaneously).

What is the warranty on the PSC-150 cutters included with the kit?

Each PSC-150 Pneumatic Stone Cutter carries a one-year tool warranty. See the PSC-150 manual for full details.

Can I use my existing ASC-5CSM Universal Carriage with this kit?

No. The ASC-5CSM is sized for 5" cutters. The PSC-150 uses the ASC-6CSM 6" Carriage Assembly, which is included in this kit.

What cutting table does Alpha® recommend?

Alpha® recommends placing a Styrofoam sheet larger than the slab on a flat, level table so the entire piece is supported through the cut.

Does Alpha® offer an electric version of this kit?

Yes. Alpha® offers an ESC Miter Cutting Kit built around the ESC-150 (110V) or ESC-250 (220V) Electric Wet/Dry Stone Cutter instead of the pneumatic PSC-150.

How is the Alpha® Miter Kit different from the Omega Diamond Miter Master System?

The Alpha® kit handles miter cuts, plunge cuts and straight cuts with the carriage. Because the PSC-150 can be removed from the carriage, it can also be used free-hand for curve cutting and other applications.
