Alpha® AWS-110 4-1/2" 110V Wet Stone Cutter

The Alpha® AWS-110 is a versatile 4-1/2", 110-volt wet stone cutter engineered for professional fabricators and installers working with natural and engineered stone, tile, porcelain, concrete, masonry and glass. One of the most powerful motors in its class drives a 20 mm-arbor diamond blade at 13,000 RPM, while an integrated water-feed system suppresses dust for cleaner, safer cutting. A built-in in-line GFCI and reversible TT ruler guide make it equally at home on the bench or at the job site.

Features

  • Powerful 1200 W / 11.2 A 110 V motor — one of the strongest in its class
  • 13,000 RPM no-load speed for hard, dense materials including porcelain and granite
  • Integrated water-feed supply eliminates harmful dust common to dry cutting
  • Reversible TT ruler guide: edge-guided, straight-edge-guided or freehand cuts
  • In-line Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) included for wet-cut safety
  • Self-stick felt strips protect polished work surfaces from scratches
  • Accepts 4" and 4-1/2" (100 mm / 115 mm) 20 mm-arbor diamond blades

  1. Mount a compatible 20 mm arbor diamond blade (e.g. Katana, Vetro, Porcellana, Hot-Rod) onto the AWS-110 spindle and tighten with the supplied M22 spanner wrench.
  2. Apply the included self-stick felt strips to the base plate when cutting glass or polished surfaces to prevent scratching.
  3. Set the reversible TT ruler guide: down to ride the edge of the stone, up to glide along a clamped straight edge, or remove for freehand cuts.
  4. Connect the water valve / hose assembly and plug into the supplied in-line GFCI; verify steady water flow at the blade before starting.
  5. Start the tool and let it reach full speed, then advance with slow, even pressure — let the blade do the work; never force the cut.
  6. After use, flush water lines, wipe the tool dry, and inspect carbon brushes periodically — brush replacement is the first line of maintenance.

What materials can the AWS-110 cut?

Granite, marble, engineered stone, crystallized glass, porcelain, concrete, masonry and glass.

What arbor size is required?

20 mm. All blades used on the AWS-110 must have a 20 mm arbor.

Can it cut a sink bowl?

Yes — use a 4" Curve Cutting Blade (part # CCB004) for 2 cm material.

Can the AWS-110 be used dry?

Yes. The saw is engineered primarily for wet cutting (insulated electrical parts and in-line GFCI) but is also rated for dry applications.

What is the warranty period?

180 days from the original retail purchase date with proof of purchase; warranty is limited to repair or replacement of parts.

Which blades are compatible?

CCB004, DEE04AL, DEE05AL, HM03A+, HS03A+, HR03A+, HT03A+, HQ03A+, DPT100, DPT115, DL04A+, DL05A+, GM05A+, DA04A+, DA05A+, PT04A+, WG0438, TS04AL, TS05AL, TP04SP.

What is the TT Ruler Guide for?

It enhances cutting performance by riding along the straight edge of the stone or a clamped rail for true, straight cuts.

Why does the GFCI trip?

Common causes: water ingress into electrical parts, supply voltage drops, excessive tool pressure, or a loose outlet connection.

What routine maintenance is required?

Periodic replacement of the carbon brushes is the first step of any maintenance — replace as a matched pair.
