Alpha® Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI-1)
The Alpha® GFCI-1 is a highly recommended piece of safety equipment for use any time an electric tool is operated in or around water — wet polishing, wet stone cutting, or wet core drilling. The 120 V, 15 A in-line GFCI interrupts electrical power the instant a ground fault is detected, protecting the operator from lethal ground current loads.

- Plug the GFCI-1 directly into a grounded 120 V outlet before connecting the tool.
- Press the TEST button — the RESET indicator should pop out, confirming the device trips on fault.
- Press RESET to re-arm the GFCI before each work session.
- Plug the electric tool's power cord into the GFCI-1 outlet.
- If the GFCI trips during operation, disconnect the tool, dry all connections, then press RESET. Recurring trips indicate a tool or cord fault — remove from service.
