The Alpha® Modern Edge Coping Kit (5480-6200) is a complete, turn-key beveling system built for hardscape professionals who need to create precise, uniform modern-edge profiles on pool coping, porcelain paver tile and other hardscape stone. The kit pairs the VSP-320 Variable Speed Wet Polisher (700–2,500 RPM, 800 W) with the BAB1590 Beveling Auxiliary Base and BAB3GRD dust/splash guard so the operator can lock in a consistent angle anywhere from a 15° Hollywood bevel through a 45° chamfer. A GP35/8RG rigid 3" backer pad and an FD30300M Ceramica Metal #300 disc are included to grind and shape the bevel; the APRON2000 sleeveless waterproof apron rounds out the kit for wet operation. Designed for all hardscape materials including porcelain paver tile.

- Unpack the kit and confirm all six components are present (VSP-320, BAB1590, BAB3GRD, GP35/8RG, FD30300M, APRON2000).
- Thread the GP35/8RG 3" rigid backer pad onto the VSP-320 spindle (5/8"-11).
- Mount the FD30300M Ceramica Metal #300 disc to the backer pad.
- Attach the BAB1590 Beveling Auxiliary Base to the VSP-320 and set the desired bevel angle (15°–45°).
- Clip on the BAB3GRD Dust/Splash Guard to contain water and slurry.
- Connect the VSP-320 to a GFCI-protected 120 V circuit and to a clean water supply.
- Put on the APRON2000 sleeveless waterproof apron, safety glasses and hearing protection.
- Start at the low end of the speed dial, increase to the target RPM, and run the auxiliary base along the slab edge to grind the bevel.
- Step through finer Ceramica grits (sold separately) to polish the bevel to the desired finish.
- Always run a GFCI on water-fed polishers and inspect cords/water lines before each shift.
