AKEMI® Stone Sealer matt finish is a professional, solvent-containing sealer made from superior acrylic resins. It penetrates porous and absorbent stone to seal the surface, deliver a good colour intensification, and make the stone noticeably easier to clean — all while keeping a natural, non-glossy matt look. The cured film is weather-resistant and non-yellowing, making it a reliable interior sealer for marble, granite, slate, sandstone, quartzite, terrazzo, and fair-faced concrete.

Recommended to seal porous and absorbent natural and artificial stone:
- Marble, granite, slate and slabs from Solnhofen
- Sandstone and quartzite
- Terrazzo and fair-faced concrete
Not suitable for: polished, fine-ground, glazed or damp surfaces; and burnt products such as cotto, clinker or stoneware. Outdoor durability is limited — AKEMI® recommends AKEMI® Colour Intensifier for exterior use instead.
- Clean the surface — it must be clean, completely dry, and free from all layers. Use the appropriate AKEMI® cleaner for the soiling, then rinse well with water. Allow the stone to dry completely (as a rule at least 1–2 days).
- Apply undiluted and evenly in a thin layer with a brush, paint roller, or spraying device. Avoid direct sunlight and humidity until dry.
- Allow the surface to dry for approximately 10 to 60 minutes, according to temperature.
- For very absorbent surfaces, apply a second time.
- Clean tools with AKEMI® Nitro-Dilution.
- For regular cleaning, AKEMI® Mild Stone Soap has shown the best results.
- Do not use on polished, fine-ground, glazed, or damp surfaces, nor on burnt products (cotto, clinker, stoneware).
- Protect objects in the working area that are sensitive to solvents (various synthetic materials, rubber, lacquered parts).
- Films of the sealer can be removed with AKEMI® Universal Dilution.
- Use a liquid-glove hand protector; empty the container completely for proper disposal.
- Industrial chemical product — use only in well-ventilated areas and wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Always consult the AKEMI Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use.
