Alpha® Quad Dry Cutting Blade

The Alpha® Quad combines the performance of Alpha® Plus — our top-of-line diamond blade — with a unique flush-cutting core design. The Quad mounts on a high-speed angle grinder through a BAH or FAH Quad Drive adapter, letting fabricators flush-cut sinks, make true 90° inside corners, and clean up large-diameter saw marks on granite, marble, and engineered stone.

  1. Install the correct BAH or FAH Quad Drive adapter on the angle-grinder spindle — do not mount the blade directly to the flange.
  2. Verify the grinder RPM is at or below the blade maximum (see Models chart).
  3. Make light scoring passes first, then full-depth cuts to minimize chipping.
  4. For inside 90° corners, finish the cut from the opposite face to eliminate over-run.
  5. Wet cutting is supported and extends blade life; always wet-cut when feasible to reduce silica dust.
  6. Re-dress the blade in a soft concrete block if it glazes and slows down.

What applications are Quad blades designed for?

Flush cutting and making true 90° inside corners on granite, marble, and engineered stone.

Can I use the Quad for groove cutting?

No. Use the Alpha® Groove Cutter with the Universal Safety Guard Kit for groove work.

Can I mount the Quad blade directly to my grinder flange?

No. The Quad has countersunk holes in the core and must be used with a BAH or FAH adapter.

Which granite classification is best?

The Quad performs across all classifications and is especially strong on hard granite.

Can the Quad be used wet?

Yes. Wet cutting increases blade life and helps keep silica dust out of the air.

What is the cutting-edge rim height?

8 mm.

What spindle thread do the BAH-5/8 and FAH-5/8 adapters fit?

5/8"-11 thread.

Can the Quad be used on a polisher?

No. Polisher RPMs are too slow for diamond cutting blades.
