Alpha®'s flagship pneumatic polisher modernizes wet polishing, drilling, and profiling with a powerful new motor, precise quarter-turn speed control, and an integrated central water-feed system. Delivered with a 30′ kink-free twin air/water hose, the PSP-158/114 is engineered for demanding fabrication-shop and jobsite use.

  1. Confirm your compressor delivers at least 21 CFM at 90 PSI; dedicate the line to the polisher for best results.
  2. Connect the supplied 30′ twin air/water hose to the quick-connect ball valve and tool inlets.
  3. Thread the appropriate Alpha® wet polishing pad, core bit, or profile wheel onto the 5/8"-11 (PSP-158) or M14-2 (PSP-114) spindle.
  4. Open the water quarter-turn valve to start the central water feed, then open the air valve gradually to ramp RPM.
  5. Keep the tool moving and let water flow continuously through the pad — never dry-run a wet polisher.
  6. At end of shift, add a few drops of rust-inhibitor oil into the air-inlet oil port and pulse air briefly to coat the rotor and cylinder.
  7. Store the tool dry in the supplied toolbox.

My compressor is large enough, but the PSP-158 bogs down occasionally. What can I do?

If multiple tools share the same compressed-air line you may not have enough flow available. Dedicate the line to the polisher, or upgrade to a compressor that delivers at least 21 CFM @ 90 PSI under continuous duty.

How much rust-inhibitor oil should I add to the oil port?

Alpha® recommends only a few drops at the end of each shift, then slowly turn on the air to lubricate the rotor and cylinder.

Can I use the PSP-158 for grinding?

Yes. The PSP-158 delivers 5,500 no-load RPM with enough torque for grinding applications in addition to wet polishing.

Yes, with the appropriate dry sanding/polishing accessory kit from Alpha®.

Does Alpha® offer a pneumatic high-speed angle grinder with center water feed?

Yes — the PSC-600 features a center water-feed system, and the PSG-125 Wet Cutting Kit uses an exterior water feed.
