Alpha® Marble Profile Wheel 6"
The Alpha® Marble Profile Wheel cuts and profiles 3/8" marble tile in a single pass on tub and tile saws — ideal for baseboards, thresholds and tile edges. Electroplated diamonds on the outer edge create a 3/8" half-bullnose finish while simultaneously cutting through the tile, saving time, material and labor compared with separate cut-and-profile operations.

- Confirm the saw spindle accepts the 5/8" arbor (use the 20mm bushing for AWS-110).
- Install the wheel so any arrows point in the direction of spindle rotation.
- Confirm saw RPM does not exceed 6,000.
- Use only on 3/8" or thinner marble or agglomerated marble tile — never granite, quartz or porcelain.
- Run wet at all times — continuous water is required to keep the electroplated diamonds from overheating.
- Feed at a slow, steady traverse speed; let the diamonds do the work.
- Do not use on hand-held grinders — designed for stationary tub/tile saws such as the Alpha® AWS-110.

What thickness of marble can this wheel profile?
The DPM638 is designed for marble tile up to 3/8" thick. Do not attempt to cut or profile marble thicker than 3/8" — the wheel is not built for it and life will be drastically shortened.
Can the Marble Profile Wheel cut granite or porcelain?
No. The electroplated diamonds on the outer edge wear quickly on granite, quartz and porcelain. Use a wheel matched to those harder materials.
Can the wheel be used dry?
No. The wheel must be used wet at all times. Running dry causes the electroplated diamonds to overheat almost immediately and shortens the life of the wheel.
Can the DPM638 be mounted on a hand-held angle grinder?
No. The wheel is engineered for stationary tub and tile saws such as the Alpha® AWS-110 Wet Stone Cutter, not hand-held machines.
Is it compatible with the AWS-125?
No. The DPM638 ships with a 5/8" arbor and 20mm bushing. The AWS-125 has a 7/8" arbor, which is not compatible.
What profile does the wheel create?
A 3/8" half-bullnose edge — a smooth, rounded half-radius typical of finished tile baseboards and thresholds.
