Akemi Graffiti Remover
AKEMI® Graffiti Remover is a highly effective, gel-like solvent cleaner for lifting aerosol spray graffiti, enamels, and similar paints from unprotected mineral surfaces and other solvent-resistant materials. It is free of acids, alkalis, and chlorinated hydrocarbons. Its stable gel consistency clings to vertical surfaces, and because it dissolves and swells the paint rather than dispersing it, it lifts graffiti without driving pigment deeper into the stone. Softened paint rinses away with warm water or a hot-water jet.
- Gel consistency — clings to vertical facades and monuments
- Strong solvent & swelling action on enamels and aerosol paints
- Does not stain — avoids dispersing pigment into the stone
- Acid-, alkali- and chlorinated-hydrocarbon free
- Easy to rinse — removes with warm water or steam

- Excellent solvent and swelling action on enamels and aerosol paints
- Gel-like consistency makes it easy to apply on vertical surfaces
- Does not cause stains from paint dispersing into the stone
- Easy to remove with steam or warm water
- Free of acids, alkalis, and chlorinated hydrocarbons
Removes graffiti and similar aerosol paints from facades, buildings, and monuments — especially mineral bases:
- Natural and artificial stone, marble, granite
- Concrete, bricks, clinker, sand-lime bricks
- Plaster and other solvent-resistant mineral surfaces
Not suitable for: wood (risk of swelling) and solvent-sensitive plastics. On agglo/engineered marble bound with synthetic resin, test first. On unprotected coarse open-pored stone (e.g. fine sandstone), pigment that has penetrated deeply may remain despite intensive cleaning.
- Make sure the surface is dry. Best working temperature is 50–86°F (10–30°C); avoid direct sunlight.
- Apply evenly with a paint brush or spatula.
- Allow to take effect for 10–15 minutes, then wash off the softened paint with warm water; a hot-water jet suits larger areas. Collect and dispose of rinse water per local wastewater regulations.
- For stubborn cases, re-apply intensively with a natural-bristle scrubbing brush, leave 10–15 minutes, and rinse. When steam-cleaning vertical surfaces, work from top to bottom.
- As a preventive measure against future defilement, treat the cleaned surface with AKEMI® Anti-Graffiti.
- Acts aggressively on painted surfaces; not for cleaning wood or solvent-reactive plastics. In uncertain cases, test on an inconspicuous area first.
- Collect rinse water and dispose of it according to local wastewater regulations; empty the container completely for disposal.
