Alpha® 10mm to 5/8"-11 Adapter for Electroplated Drill Bits
The Alpha® CH1058 thread adapter lets fabricators use 10mm-shank electroplated diamond drill bits on 5/8"-11 water-fed polishers and angle grinders. Slim, fully threaded and reusable, the adapter brings dozens of European-spec drill-bit diameters onto the standard North American 5/8"-11 spindle — ideal for shop drilling on porcelain, sintered slabs, Dekton, glass and natural stone where a dedicated 10mm drill is not on hand.

- Confirm your polisher spindle is 5/8"-11 and your electroplated drill bit has a 10mm thread.
- Thread the CH1058 adapter onto the polisher spindle hand-tight using the spindle lock.
- Thread the 10mm drill bit onto the exposed 10mm stud of the adapter.
- Snug the drill bit fully against the adapter face — do not overtighten.
- Engage water flow before contact — electroplated bits must be cooled during drilling.
- Drill at the bit’s recommended RPM; let the diamond do the cutting, do not force-feed.
- After use, remove the bit and adapter, rinse off slurry, dry and store.
- Inspect the adapter threads before each use; replace if cross-threaded or worn.
